recipe page with Chris Durnan's file

This is another really versatile file. It's Chris's Cookie Sweet Pack and you can find it here. This is my favorite cookie recipe, so I wanted a page to put in my recipe book. I love the way the title on the cookie board cuts.

Using another Freebies

I don't  know about you, but I love freebies.  Have you seen how many freebies are available in the the sketch challenge forum.   Even if you have not participated in the sketch challenge, you can find lots of freebies to use on any of your projects.  For this particular layout,  I used a tag freebie from  May 2009.   Here's the link to the sketch challenge forum.   Sketch Challenge   If you would like to see them all at a glance, I have created an album in the photo's sections:  HERE

Supplies used:
Joanne's kraft cardstock
Basic Grey patterned paper.
Miscellaneous flowers

CD00552 Circle Tabbed Card

Here is another card using CD00552.  I love this card style and have made several cards with it.  It is so versatile!  This one is a birthday card for my youngest daughter''s 15th birthday today.  I call her my sugarbug, hence the bumblebees.

Confirmation Card

I used file #CD00103 (cross) and #CD00571 ("Confirmation) for this card.  The butterfly is one of the Cuttlebug cut and emboss dies.  Added some ribbon and a bit of bling.  I love when I can use more than one system to create some quick, easy and beautiful.

Using a Freebie

This is my example of the weekly Card sketch at Let's Scrap.  The paper is really old, DaisyD's. I created the Hello circle sentiment in Photoshop elements using a template by Learn-Create-Share. The butterfly was designed by Shelly's art and cut with my Craft Robo. The circle swirly thingy was designed by Chris Durnan and part of the freebies for the November 2009 sketch challenge.   You can find them in the forum: Here's the link  November 2009.

I think it turned out pretty cute.   What do you think?

Snow envy words

Here's a layout that I created for several challenges.  I used Chris's Snow Envy words to create the snowflake embellishments.  It was really fun to create a school layout using winter items.  I hope you like it.    Rosalie

Layout using CD00703 - Family Tree

Once again Chris has outdone herself with this wonderful file. Another goodie as part of this quarter's QMC! I had this photo of my children, son-in-law and my hubby which was taken just after Gary and I had celebrated our Wedding with family and friends in May 2007.

I have added styles and textures in Photoshop CS3 to the cutter files to add dimension and used a digital scrapbook kit I designed.

Thanks Chris!

Circle Pop Out Card #CD00552

I created a couple of cute cards using VDBC file #CD00552.  I was going to create graduation cards but that little pop up circle is the perfect place to put a flower so I got sidetracked!

One card is stamped with a sunflower stamp and colored with Berol Prismacolor pencils then blended with a blending marker.  Added a Prima flower and fuzzy brad at the top.  When I stamped, I made sure to center the stamping and then I trimmed equal amounts off both sides to make the card narrower.

On the other card, I trimmed some off of the bottom.  I used a border bunch along the top flap along the bottom and then put a pink strip of patterned paper on the inside of the card to make it stand out.  I stamped a cupcake, colored with pencils and a Copic, cut it out and popdotted it after adding some ribbon to the card.  The flower at the top was punched from some patterned paper and a mini brad added.  I added the mini brad before glueing the circle down so you could see the other side of the brad.  I'm finicky about the details.  *smile*  A little bling and it's all done.  Simple but the pop out makes it oh, so cute!  The inside is stamped with "Happy Birthday Cupcake!".  I think this was a $1 stamp from Michaels.  *smile*

May 2010 sketch challenge

What a great sketch and cute files we have for you this month.   What an easy way to get those Mother's day card completed.

We are pleased to have Little Creations by Crystal helping us with the cutter files this month. You can find her store here: Little creations

Crystal has given us a cute border, title and butterfly to create really cute cards. The sketch is provided by Becky Fleck of PageMaps

I hope this sketch challenges you to create. Have a great month.

Jumping Rope!

Here is a layout I have created using another file from Chris's wonderful QMC. Nicholas used to participate in "Jump Rope For Heart" every year in Primary School. It is a wonderful idea to get kids having fun and raising funds for an important charity! This "Jumping Rope" file was just made for this layout! (most of these photos came from the Internet).

I have added styles and textures to the layout and the Cutter files to give the elements dimension!

Thanks for looking,

cheers, caz
