Christmas in May?

I'm not one to scrapbook in chronological order. I just work on whatever catches my fancy. Plus Christmas photos are hard for me for some reason. There are so many and I never know what to do with them all. So I had a few cute photos of my daughter, Olivia, showing off her presents. I decided to go bright with this one... It's probably a bit more busy than I normally scrapbook, but I think it's cute!

I used Chris' Words of Happiness file for the title, "Happy Happy Joy Joy."

card with Simple Borders & Patterns

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend. I needed a card to send to a friend so I thought I'd try out Chris's Simple Borders and Patterns file. I took a picture of the flowers on our fence and used it for the front of the card. I used a rubber stamp and a versa mark ink pad to make the pink background paper and tore and inked the edges with brown ink. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I curled the edges of the flower and used a yellow brad to attach it as the center of the flower. I just love how versatile Chris's files are!

Mount Rushmore

Have you seen Chris's South Dakota files? They are brand new, check them out!

(Note to self: ask how to link to paperthreads! Dana, could you pm me at paperthreads and explain the process to me? Thanks Rosalie)
Thanks Dana! Here's the link. To the great file:

Mount Rushmore

Anyway.... Our family took a vacation last summer to South Dakota. We had a great time and I am having a great time reliving the memories in my Scrapbook. Keep your eyes peeled for my version of the Badlands file and I will have to find something to do with that Bison!

My Layout today was really quite simple:
Bo Bunny paper
Miscellaneous Cardstock
Chris's Mount Rushmore file.
I still need to add my journal notes; I have so much to say in such a little space!

I hope you like them. Rosalie

A story about this layout...

Hi everyone! I know I haven't posted here yet, but I'll be taking over for Chris on her blog while she is away on a much deserved vacation! I don't want to post everything here!!! LOL!!!

Anyway, I wanted to share a story about this layout...

I originally sent this layout to Chris to try out for the team without a photo and journaling. I had requested the Believe Frame from Chris because I knew my mom and my brother would take my niece to see Santa. I can't get my kids to have anything to do with Santa in the mall. Olivia is six and is scared of him, and Zach, who's 13, just looked at me like I had grown another head when I told him I needed a picture of him with Santa. LOL!!!
So, after I got the photo from my mom, I took the layout apart and put it back together with the photo and the journaling. I love how it came out and this was such a funny picture to go with the frame. I just love how it turned out! I hope you do, too!
This layout uses the Believe Curly Matte or Frame
Talk to you all soon!

Hi Everyone, It's me again!

I seem to like teal a lot lately. I have used several variations of this color for several layouts one of which I will share with you here:

This is for a Silver Anniversary Album for my BIL & SIL in June. We have a sort of joke with them and call them Pat and Terry's Bed and Breakfast. The have the best bed, coffee, and service anywhere around. So when our nieces asked us to write something for the event, we had to write about that. We moved to a North Dallas Suburb 11 years ago on July 1 so they are a little more than the halfway point to home in N. E. Kansas. So I had to use Chris's Mi Casa es Su Casa file to put with our letter!

It was a lot of fun to use and cut this file and it cut super smooth and easy in one pass.

Happy Day everyone!

I just wanted to hop in for a few and thank Chris for this wonderful blog!
While on a trip to Kentucky last month, I went on a school trip to the zoo with my grandson's class. We stopped and had lunch at the local park. I spotted this gorgeous Dogwood tree and had to grab the camera. With the rainy day in Tennessee, I decided to take advantage and catch up on a little scrapping. Here's the layout I came up with:
I used Chris's file: CD00286- Fancy Swirly Accents 1 for the vine.
The dogwood flower was my own creation. :) I hope you enjoy seeing this layout as much as I did making it.
Enjoy!

Hello Everyone!

I am Vicki and I am, of course, On Chris's Creative Team. Just wanted to pop on here and say "hi" and I will be back. I just finished my grandson's first 8 months of life album (he's now 9 months old) and have only a few pages left for these next couple of months until his birthday. I am almost out of room in this album, so I hope we don't have any major happenings. Chandler is 9 months old and talks. He says Mama, Dada, Brother and BaBa which means "food" in general. He likes his food more than his milk. He walks - not alone, but all around the furniture. He's early in everything! What a joy and a challenge.

Here's a picture of one of my Favorite Projects using one of Chris's files:

Happy Day Everyone,
