Hey everyone! I had a really fun time with this one. I used a combination of several of Chris's files. Make a joyful Noise, Tickling the Ivories and I'm in the Band! I cut 1'' squares out of bazzell cardstock to make the tile on the bottom. And the title was my creation. I searched for a day and a half for that font.. It's one you know you've seen somewhere, but just can't remember where you have it. LOL I finally ran across a website that helps you identify the font you are looking for. it might be helpful to you sometime: www.identifont.com
Anyway here's my layout. Hope you enjoy!

Farm Family

Here's my take on the challenge files. I grew up a farm girl, but married a city boy. I really miss the farm, but we always spend a few days during harvest because I want my kids to experience the pleasures of farm life. I wanted to document the fact that everyone loves the farm. My grandfather is 94 and uses a cane to walk, but can still climb the steps of the combine! Amazing what a little desire can acheive!

Farm Family: Farming is a family affair, From the age of 2 to 94, we all love bringing in the harvest.

Feb Sketch Challenge on Chris's forum

Here's my layout for the sketch challenge on Chris's forum. Hubby wanted to model his new Packers hat that was part of his Christmas this year. Such a goof!

I used Club Scrap papers and the fabulous files Chris made for the sketch challenge. I used a big rhinestone for the center of the flower and a date stamper for the tab at the top.

Vroom layout #2

I started this layout a while ago when I completed the digital layout with Chris's Cars and Trucks Jumble . This layout is of some of the children playing with .... yes, you guessed it.... cars and trucks!!

It has taken me a while to finish it though as I needed the right font for the title and I wanted a flame for the exhaust. I have used a very glittery vellum for the jumble which worked well and papers from Flavia. I cut the flowers and embossed the mat using my cuttlebug , but cut the title and flame using the KNK.

Thanks for looking and have a great day wherever you are !

cheers, caz

Nature's Child

This layout is of my daughter in the Spring of 2008. I love these pictures of her because she is not posing or hamming it up for the camera which she loves to do on occasion. I used the Butterfly Edge 4 file from Chris to create the corners and the butterflies. The font was cut on my Silhouette and then all of the pieces were embellished with glitter from Martha Stewart.

Here's the Valentine card I gave my hubby this year. I used the same swirly heart to make a matching gift bag. I lined the cut out with a piece of pink cardstock. Hubby thought it was very crafty.

A Valentine for my Sweetie!

I created this Valentine for Jeff using two of the Visual Designs by Chris files: #CD00129 Alpha Jumble and #CD00308 Heart Jumble. The placement of the letters were perfect for this Valentine card but it could also be a cute thinking of you or birthday card. I just used a black sharpie so the i and u stood out. Pop dotted the heart cut from the heart jumble file, created a visual triangle with a few of the other tiny hearts from the inside of the larger hearts and added a gemstone for the dot of the i. A little ribbon at the bottom and I had a quick and easy card. A happy mistake that you can't see on the inside of the card: My scrap of ribbon wasn't long enough so instead of tying it in the front like I had intended, I tied the knot and had the ends meet in the back. I cut a little slit on the folded edge so that the ribbon could slip through. The ribbon ends were about a 1/16 of an inch from meeting so I used one of the solid hearts from the heart jumble file and popdotted it over so you could see the ends. Perfect! And looked intentional. Also put one of the hearts like on the front on the upper right of the inside of the card. And used a white chalk marker to write my sentiment and sign the card.

February Sketch Challenge Entry

Ok here is my layout using the files for the February Sketch. I used the Journal Box and the Pen tool line file. The distressing was achieved by using a lighter. The shimmer on the flowers was achieved by using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. This was a really fun sketch to do, and everything came together quite easily this morning when I started working on it. The Patterened Paper is from My Minds Eye, Flowers from Petaloo, Glitter from Martha Stewart.

Just a Note card

How about a card? I used Chris's Music Mesh file (found here) to make this Just a Note card. I matted the mesh on a piece of white card stock and layered that over the stamped Just a Note phrase on a beige card.

"Camden" word book

I used the rounded letter word book files to create a baby gift. I stacked them instead of creating the word out so that each page could have a 4x6 photo on it. Oops! I must have forgotten to take a photo of page one and I already gifted it. Each page has a scripture or saying printed and cut into strips. Font is bhtype. Inked with chalk ink. Miscellaneous ribbons. The baby face was cut at my local scrapook store. All papers are old Basic Grey that I had tons of. Added a little bling here and there. All titles were cut using my Quickutz Maggie font. This was a gift for a friend who adopted a baby boy this month. She is a scrapbooker and loved it! I was so thrilled to give it to her.

a layout and a card

Here's a layout I made using Chris's files from the January Sketch Challenge on her forum. It also uses the Happy from her Happy Birthday title included in the Challenge 3 set of files.

And here's a card I made for a challenge, also on her forum! It uses one of the tree files from her oval trio file and the word thanks from a card she gave away on her blog.

Vroom....

Well I have been quite busy working on layouts with Chris's fantastic files. I am so privileged that Chris thought I was good enough to work for her on her CT as I am having a ball. I have been messing about digitally with a file called Cars and Trucks Jumble. It is a really fun file to work with and in the end I decided to use the individual items in this layout, the car, and the two different trucks.

These are some photos taken when I used to do Daycare in my home. Nicholas (DS) has a Go-Kart, and he took all the children for rides up and down our driveway. They all had a ball! It was lovely to see them all having so much fun!

Cheers, caz

New layouts

I have made a couple of layouts using Chris's "Bracket Jumble with Bubbles". I made one as a paper layout and one digital. The paper layout was a challenge as I haven't made a layout with paper for quite a while, but I really wanted to try out my new KNK Maxx. The extra bubbles are the waste from the Bubble Jumble. I just highlighted them with a gel pen.

These are pictures of my Daycare children when I was doing daycare having a ball blowing bubbles! I have used some of my paper stash and a CM sticker. I also used my Cuttlebug to cut the letters for the title. I cut Chris's file twice, one in patterned paper, and one plain (slightly smaller) and layered it on top.
The 2nd layout was created in Photoshop. Chris explained that I could open the AI files directly in PS and it worked a treat, and saved a lot of time.

I used a digital kit that I had designed and Chris's files available for the February Sketch Challenge as well as the "Bracket Jumble with Bubbles" which I applied a style to. These are my Daycare kids having a ball in the bath with lots of bubbles! This layout was completed for the Feb09 Sketch Challenge as well.

Have a great day!

cheers, caz

Hibernating here in Ohio!

Well, the weather has been very cold and full of snow here in Ohio! Last Tuesday it started snowing and didn't stop until noon on Wednesday. Needless to say the area was in lockdown.

I wanted to post some of the layouts that I have done that I hadn't posted to the blog-

For Valentines day...the heart cutout.

Live, Love, Laugh cut file

This one has 2 files with cars and the Road Trip file

Sting of the bat file...how cute is this project?

I hope that you are staying warm...or that you are in warm weather!
