#CD00643 Year of the Tiger for Senior Picture graduating 2010

My daughter is a Senior this year - 2010 - and they are the Festus Tigers so I was thrilled to see this file that Chris designed.  It is really a simple layout but the file is perfect!  I didn't want to crowd the layout with too much because I love this photo of her so I only used the title portion of the file.  I also used my Wishblade to cut the word Senior to match the file Chris created.  Added some pretty patterned paper, ribbon and a bit of bling.

CT creations using CD00651 and CD00653

This card is using a file from Chris from Visual Designs By Chris. It is from the latest QMC and is called "Fancy Edges Collection" . I have used the circular design from the file and resized it slightly to fit on my 5X5" card front. You can still join this membership in the Store and it is a bargain!

This next file is also from the QMC and is to create the Heart Treat bag. This is a gorgeous file specially designed by Chris to fill with treats for your Honey for Valentine's. I however, decided it made a great card holder for the cards I am currently working on LOL so I have posted both pictures, one with my cards in it, and one without!

Both files cut beautifully!

Thanks for looking,

Valentine's Day Card with Chris's file

Here's another take on Chris's Valentine's Day card from her QMC. I added a liner to the card, a stamped greeting inside, and some ribbon on the spine. If you haven't checked out Chris's QMC, it's a must have. And rumor has it that there's a new grab bag coming on Monday, and Chris is one of the designers!

January Challenge

Here it is... my January Challenge layout. Of course I'm working on Christmas pictures. Those are the only ones I keep up with (and vacation and school but I'm officially behind on those). I'm really a traditional Christmas color person but stepped out of that box this time. I love Hot Pink and these pictures screamed .... "USE PINK" - lol. Sorry about the lousy picture. My scanner isn't working and I don't have a good place to take a picture. Still haven't decided if I'm going to leave the Pink word paper on the layout or not. May change it to a solid pink like the top piece or to all word paper.

Files used:
VDC January Challenge file;
VDC Paint Diva (CD00350), I cut the Paint part off.;

2 peas in a bucket cutter Challenge

I was browsing the 2 peas website the other day, and found a digital cutter challenge.  "Wow, right up my alley"  The sample layout was pretty cute and I actually learned a couple things from the corresponding videos. If you want to give it a try, you can find it here:  2 peas cutter class.   I was able to easily find files that Chris had designed to help me complete this page.  I used Snow Envy Words and Baroque Background 461 .  I don't usually make my pages with this many layer and embellishments, but it was really fun and I think it turned out pretty cute.  If I can just brag a little.  Did you notice that I used a negative snowflake cut-out on the striped notebook paper?  I rarely do that either.  Challenges are great for getting you to think outside your box. Are you feeling uncreative?   Try a challenge to get yourself going, It really does help.   There are several challenges over in the forum at VDBC as well.   Thanks Rosalie

Happy Valentine's Day card - CD00650

This is the most recent addition to this quarter's QMC over at Visual Designs By Chris and the More Team!

Seems like everyone has Valentine on their minds and "Love is in The Air" ! This digital cutter file has two layers. The card body also has the heart shapes cut into the front of it. To set that off, there is a second layer that slips in behind the front and includes the greeting "Happy Valentine's Day". It is really effective and I love the way it goes together.

You too can get this, and many other digital cutter files, by joining this QMC in the Store.

Of course, I have used my Stickles to outline the hearts, I love these things! and I used a few little extra hearts on the front to add a little more.

Thanks for looking,

cheers, caz

January 2010 Sketch Challenge

2010 Has arrived, and so has a new sketch for the VDBC sketch challenge. Head over to the forum to check it out. The sketch is very versatile sketch by Becky Fleck of pagemaps. You can find this month's sketch and accompanying cutter files here: VDBC. I can't wait to see your interpretation of the sketch. Rosalie

Layout created with CD00639

Another Year begins and so does another QMC at Visual Designs by Chris. This layout uses CD00639 - Out Of This World which was a file available in the last of QMC in 2009.

I took the file and enlarged it to fill my 12X12 inch page to work as my background. I applied a style to the Title to raise it and make it stand out.

This is a picture taken of my son recently acting silly, as usual! I did ask him why all the pictures I have of him lately have him sticking out his tongue, but he just laughed. I guess it must be a teen boy thing! LOL

Nevertheless, he truly is "Out Of This World" to me!

Thanks for looking,

cheers, caz

Using file #CD00592. This was really for my December DT project but I just wasn't satisfied with it and had to keep playing with it. I used just the title from the file and not the ghost. The flag was a wooden piece from Michaels. Lots of eyelets here to imitate the shirt. The swirlie things are a swirl punched out and then used the negative part and punched a circle from it - tried to recreate the design on her shirt sleeve. Lots of visual triangles here: eyelets, swirls, red color, black color, white color and gems. Love me some triangles. LOL
